This event is sold out! Taiye Selasi gives an interactive masterclass on new forms of identity, community, belonging and solidarity in the European context. In this masterclass we will reflect on our own experiences and perspective together with Selasi, in an interactive interview format. The University of Groningen has an increasingly mixed (Dutch and international) student and staff body. At least a quarter of Dutch students will spend time abroad during their studies.
As Selasi have previously noted, movement is becoming more and more the norm. But what and how can we, as students, teachers and workers, do something this experience of being, living, belonging in different places, apart from fill our Instagram feed? How can we understand it and activate it, let it shape our identity, enable new forms of community and solidarity, so that we can become citizens of the world?
PLEASE NOTE; THIS MASTERCLASS IS ON WEDNESDAY, NOT ON FRIDAY AS MENTIONED IN HET LET'S GRO BOOKLET
